BG Log — Privacy Policy

BG Log ("the app") is a board game collection tracker and play logger published by Solruna ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: your collection and play data stay on your device; we run no server and require no account.

Data stored on your device only

Your game collection, play logs, player names, scores, locations, and notes are stored in a local database on your device. We cannot access them. They leave your device only when you explicitly use the CSV export feature, which hands the files to an app of your choosing via the system share sheet. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

Data collected automatically

The app uses the following Google services, which collect limited data on our behalf:

• Google AdMob (advertising, free version only) — may collect your advertising ID, IP address, and device information to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK, ads are shown only in accordance with the consent choices you make in the app's consent dialog. Purchasing BG Log Pro removes all advertising. • Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous usage events (for example "a play was logged") and device information to help us understand which features matter. We do not send your game names, player names, scores, or notes.
• Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and device state when the app malfunctions, so we can fix bugs.

BoardGameGeek

When you search for a game or import a collection, the app queries the BoardGameGeek API directly from your device. Your search terms and, for imports, the BoardGameGeek username you enter are sent to BoardGameGeek. Their privacy policy applies to that traffic. Game data is provided by BoardGameGeek.

Purchases

The one-time BG Log Pro purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We receive no payment details. The purchase state is stored on your device and with Google Play for restoration.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

• Remove ads (and AdMob's data collection) by purchasing Pro.
• Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Android settings.
• EEA/UK users can change their ad consent at any time from the app's settings.
• Delete all app data by uninstalling the app.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes, and the current version is always at this address.
